Sharp Pain In The Ear, Stomach Upset And Chills. Advice?
My wife has been getting sharp needle like pains from one ear to the other over the crown of her forhead and cannot get a good sleep from all these jabbing pains. She is 82 and also had several days where she was very cold and had tocover up with a blanket like she was having a touch of the flu but she had no upset stomach.

If this is for just few days then it could be becuase of viral illness just take paracetamol tablet after consulting your doctor for 5 days but not more than that. VIral illness goes off on its own in 5-6 days.
if it has been for long get ENT consultation and get ears checked and nose checked.
If doubt of disease in nose then get done a CT scan of nose and paranasal sinuses to see for the disease and so proper treatment can be done.
