Sharp Pinching Pain In Knee, Unable To Straighten Leg Now Cured. Detected Possible Torn Meniscus, Recommended MRI. History Of Knee Reconstruction. Guide

I was walking into my kitchen a few days ago and felt a sharp pinching pain in my knee. For the following day I was limping and couldn't bend or straighten my leg. I visited the dr the next day who thinks I have a torn meniscus and has recommended a MRI however now the pain in my knee has disappeared (Still a small amount of pain behind the knee, no limping) . I had a knee reconstruction 14 years ago on the same knee after a trauma (currently 24 years old) Does this mean there is nothing wrong with my knee?

Thanks for consulting at THC
No dear. As there is history of knee trauma and reconstruction and history of locking in same knee a few days back. It means there is derangement in knee. So better you should go for a MRI. if there is mensiscus injury then plan for Arthroscopy Meniscectomy.it will relieve trouble. in trauma these injuries are very common.
