Sharp Prickly Pain On Nipple Area Of Breast.Mammogaram Normal. Cause?
I am 52 years old and female. I have sharp, prickly pains in the nipple area of my left breast. I recently had a mammogram that showed up an abnormality in the right breast, but further tests confimred that no cancer is present. I just wondered what could be causing the sharp, prickly pains. They feel as though pins are being stuck in the nipple area.

Thanks for using HCM Mamogram is a screening procedure, amount of radiation exposure is less, so it's less likely to be due to this. Your symptoms in breast could be due menopausal changes, reduced hormonal levels cause reduction of breast size. Please do self examination of breast regularly for any lump. Take care
