Shivering When Climate Is Slightly More Cold Than Usual. What Could Be This?

I am 19 now. When the room is slightly more colder than usual or even in a warm class when a slight wind blows,
I get a quick shiver through my body for 3-4 s and it looks just like a myoclonic seizure. I have been having it from my childhood.
People ask me what's wrong and i don't know because it couldn't be a chill because no one in my family has it and nobody around seems to have it.
i would like to know what's wrong.

Note: I actually am alert when it happens, there is no black out.
I recently found I am allergic to cold(low temp.)

We all have different degrees of tolerance to cold weather. Shivering is the body's method of raising the temperature.
If you have additional symptoms like gaining weight despite poor appetite, loss of hair or eyebrows, thyroid (neck swelling), you may check your thyroid hormone levels - mainly TSH.
