Should Blephamide Eye Ointment Be Applied On Eyelid Edges For Blepharitis?

I have blepharitis. My original doctor would treat it with doxycycline twice a day. And then blephamide eye drops. That doctor retired. My current opthalmogist states that doxyclcine is no longer needed twice a day and wants to reduce it to 25 mg per day. Also I am now on only blephamide eye ointment once at night. I have been putting that into the eye area. Should I be putting it on the eyelid edges instead? Do you agree with the reduced dosage of doxyclcline? Are you located in the Columbus Ohio area? Also, I have had a history of blepharitis so severe that many years ago, I had my drainage tear ducts blocked. Before this most recent incident, I had been free of blepharitis for 4 years.

I really appreciate your concern, Doxycycline may not be useful here but eye drop will be enough for this and affected part would be of more concern you need to be very patience for this because this may take some time to come around, hope this information helps, take care.
