Should Doctor Be Consulted For Pain In Head Due To An Injury?

This morning while unloading the dishwasher I stood up and hit my left temple on the very sharp corner of the cupboard door that was open. I havent been dizzy or anything, but it is tender at the sight and I have small stabbing pains every now and then. Should I go to an ER? They are always so busy and I dont want to take away from time that may be dedicated to a patient with a more serious siutation?
