Should Gabapentin Be Continued If Having Nervousness?
HELLO! I HAVE BEEN ON GABAPENTEN FOR A WEEK OR SO... IT IS TO HELP MY ANGER/ BEHAVIOR/ BI-POLAR...ETC... ANYWAYS... IT HAS MADE MY ANGER ISSUES WORSE... I AM GETTING MORE NERVOUSE ABOUT THINGS AND IT MAKES ME HAVE THOUGHTS WEN I GET MAD- THOUGHT LIKE "I WISH I WASN'T BORN"... THOSE TYPE OF THOUGHTS... I GO MONDAY TO TALK TO MY DOCTOR TO GET MY MEDICATION SWITCHED... SHOULD I STOP TAKING MY MEDICATION OR KEEP TAKING IT TIL I GO TO TH DOCTOR ON MONDAY?
hello, I got your concern gabapentin does not worsen your anger or anxiety, rather it helps in managing all these problems. are you on any other medications for your disorder? all the problems which you stated above may be an indication of relapse of your disorder. for that I want to know your other medications so that I can suggest you further. so there is no need to discontinue your gabapentin.
Hope this answers your question. If you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions.
Wishing you good health. Dr Aamir.
