Should I Be Concerned About A Big Bump On The Lower Back?

my husband has a big bump on the left side of his lower back the word bump may be a understatement. what could that be? He s been having it for some time now and wont go to the doctor and he says it only hurts sometimes. It started off small and it got bigger and its been at a stand still for some time now.

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Any ''big bump'' on the back has to be removed as this is the pressure point/ area of the body.
This will definitely cause a problem some or the other day.
This most probably can be a lipoma but should be removed for the reason mentioned above.
It is better to get this removed (excised) for 2 reasons.
1> your get rid of the disease and
2> you get the histopathological diagnosis- makes one tension-free
