Should I Be Concerned About A Recent Accident I Met Inspite Of Having Mulitiple Trauma's To The Neck Area?
I have severe neck pain, I have had mulitiple trauma's to the neck area, last MRI showed very small disc osteophhtye complexes at C5 and C6 resulting in very minimal impress on the thecal sac. Also showed mild degenerative changes in the discovertebral joints particularly at C5. As well as Schmorl's nodes defects in the inferior endplates of T11, T12,L1 and L3. I suffer daily from low back pain, and nightly from pain radiating down the legs. This MRI was last taken in 2006, I am scheduled for a cervical MRI in the next week, should I be concerned since I have recently been in a auto accident in which I suffered another whiplash?

As I have gone through your query you have only pain in the neck region. You should be worried if you developed numbness, weakness or radiating pain in the limbs. You may wear a cervical collar and avoid vigorous movement at neck, no massage.
For radiating pain in lower limb may have drug pregablin/gabapentin after consultation with your doctor.
