Should I Be Concerned About Worsening Fungal Infection On My Toes Despite Taking Prescribed Pills For 3 Days?

Hello, a few months ago I noticed that my toe nail was chainging color and I assumed it was foot fungi so I startne treating it with tea tree oil, a few weeks ago It got worse, it spread to my other toe. The first infected toe got really red and the nail is partially White, it started itching and even hurting sometimes do a few days ago I went to see my doctor and she gave me pills to treat it.. Yesterday I noticed that the skin on the toes next to the big toes started turning red and itching. I have been doing everything and anything to tey to cure it. Should I be worried about it or Should I wait for the pills to do their thing. I have been taking the pills for 3 days, 2 times a day. Thank you so much.

Hi,

You have not mentioned diagnosis by doctor and medicine you are taking. Have you consulted skin specialist? Fungal infection on toe indicates poor immunity. You should get your fasting and 2 hours post prandial blood sugar and HbA1C tested. If it is normal, continue treatment as prescribed by your doctor. If it is more, get it controlled for quick recovery with medicines.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
