Should I Be Concerned For A Bulge And Swelling In My Vein?

I knocked my hand at work today and the vein on the back of my hand bulges out and swelled to about the size of 10c piece. I had a day procedure last week where the needle was put into this same vein. Is it anything to worry about or have I just busted the vein? Sore to touch like a bruise.

Respected user, hi I evaluated your query thoroughly.
* Seems developing post-traumatic hematoma / cellulitis
* Follow certain basics & later if necessary can consult a doctor
- apply ice 3-4 times a day
- keep the area clean , dry
- avoid tight clothing around it
- avoid wrist watch wearing
- avoid more typing / texting work
- can apply Thrombophobe ointment over the vein starting from center to
periphery with gentleness 3-4 times / day
Hope this helps you
