Should I Be Concerned For Having 2 Pills Of Apo-levofloxacin Instead Of One?

Hello, I have been taking medication for a bronchial infection. The doctor just changed the meds and I took the first dose tonight of Apo-Levofloxacin 500mg. However I took 2 pills (habit from previous drug). i just checked the acute overdose precautions and now I am concerned. Should I be? Should i go to the hospital? Thanks for your help. Lauren

not a bit. It is still within doses that are standardly given. Furthermore the safety range of antibiotics is generally huge. Also, the variability in how much drug is in the system can vary much more than 2 fold. A smaller person would be getting that dose anyway. Frankly, since it doesn't accumulate and it doesn't change how long it stays in you very much, I wouldn't even delay the next dose.. generally we would recommend not even skipping the next dose.
