Should I Be Concerned If My Child Eats Stationary, Hair And Nails?
Hi Dr. Grief, My 6 year old daughter eats crayon, pencils, erasers, paper, elmer s glue, glue stick glue, her hair, her finger nails, her toenails, and the soap foam in her bathtub. She says they taste yummy and that is why she eat them. Should I be concerned? And what should I do about it?

This is called as PICA.
Many times it is the representation of some mineral,iron deficiency in the body.
GIT infection, worm infestation and lead poisoning is the possible complication expected.
