Should I Be Concerned With My High Cholesterol And Triglyceride Levels?
I am a 25 year old female and my heart rate always seems to be high. At work when I check it randomly it is between 100-121. I just counted my resting rate and it is 86. I am 5'2 and 124 lbs. My lab results indicated that my cholesterol and triglycerides were on the high side and my vitamin d and glucose was low. Should I be concerned?
If you are experiencing abnormal heart rates you should consider visiting your doctor for an assessment. He or she would likely suggest an ECG which can look at the rate and rhythm of the heart. If this is normal and you are still having issues then a holter can be done. This is essentially a 24 hour ECG.
It would be best to determine if there is any abnormalities present, it is quite possible that it is not significant but the above tests would be able to determine this.
If your cholesterol and triglycerides are elevated above what they should be , you should start lifestyle changes (diet and activity), in an effort to reduce them.
I hope this helps
