Should I Be Worried For Back Pain With Popping Sound?
Hello Doc. My mother has degenerative disc disease which has caused me to look more into my own symptons. My lower back is sore many nights, usually needing a rub to soon the sharp pain....when I walk or move or sit - i feel as if my lower back is popping or the discs are rubbing - it sounds and feels like when you pop you knuckles. It does not come with severe pain but the sound is concerning and I am now more concerned with my mother's recent update on her health.
Hi Thanks for your query After going through your query I came to know that you are suffering from chronic backache. It may be early lumbar spondylosis. It can be confirmed by x-rays. MRI of spine rule out other causes.Back exercises, Diacerine, glucosamine sulfate, neurotropic such as methycobalamin and analgesics such as diclofenac slow release tablet can give relief. Serum vitamin D test is advised if it is low than vitamin D supplementation will be required. Avoid long continuous standing. Sit in a straight posture. You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it. I do hope that you have found something helpful and I will be glad to answer any further query. Take care.
