Should I Be Worried For The Swelling Just Above The Ankle?

I just go back from a weekend in TX. I took a 3+ hour flight there and 4 hour flight back on Sunday. Today my lower left leg has some swelling just above the ankle. It is only in one area and very tender, like I hit it hard on something but I didnt. No real bruising. Should I be worried?

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Thanks for writing to us,

I have studied your case with diligence.
This can be dependent swelling due to long time sitting.
Nothing to worry ,take proper rest.

Physiotherapy like ultrasound and TENS will help in early healing.

If not recovered then renal and cardiac examination is required.

Hope this answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.

Wishing you good health.

Take care.
