Should I Be Worried If Injected Testosterone IV Instead Of IM In The Thigh?
I take 1/2 cc of testosterone IM every 10 days at the direction of my urologist. I just gave myself an injection in my thigh per instructions (mid thigh, top down, straight in). Upon removal of the needle, there was a steady flow of blood from the puncture site. This isn t normal, but blood flow stopped with compression after a couple of minutes. I am concerned I could have injected IV rather than IM. Should I be worried??? Should I watch for any specific symptoms of a problem? Thanks
Hello I want to tell you one thing that TESTOSTERONE is available in oily base and intravenous injection may cause irreparable damage but fortunately it didn't happened in your case . The normal rout of injection of testosterone is , intramuscular , subcutaneous , intradermal . In my opinion as time passed ( at least 24 hours ), so at present you should not bother .But wait for another 72 hours for any untoward effect, if then at once consult your treating doctor , however in my opinion there is no chance of any side effect . But in future be aware about this . Good luck .
