Should I Continue Electrocine Tabs Or Not ?
I am 52 years old female. I have subtotal thyrodactomy in 1994. I use to take 100mg electrocine tabs. Now I read in a journal that to take hormone tabs for total surgery only. Can I stop the medicine or not.

hi.welcome to HealthcareMagic forum.taking thyroid externally depends upon the hormone profile.what the amount of thyroid tissue left is not the criteria.in total thyroidectomy,there is no cell left,hence you are bound to take it.in subtotal if sufficient hormone is not produced,there may be requirement of external hormone.meet doctor in person and follow their instruction.
