Hello,
Liver damage, also called
hepatotoxicity, can happen when taking
lisinopril. You are suffering from the side effects of taking Lisinopril for such a long duration. Antioxidant effect of turmeric (
Curcumin) is powerful and stops your liver from being damaged by toxins.
Dandelion helps improve digestion. It has healing effect on liver dysfunction due to toxins.
Milk thistle also protects liver from toxins. Do continue to take the herbal products that you are taking. Herbal products may take a longer time to heal your liver. Do not get impatient & do not take it in excess.
You can control your raised liver enzymes levels by a change in lifestyle & by switching to healthy diet. You are advised to take boiled food for at least 3 (three) months. Take boiled water strictly. You can take lean meat, eggs & protein boiled and shallow fried in olive oil. Do not take processed food, refined flour, full fat dairy products, red meat, spicy hot fried food,
Take whole cereals that is well cooked. Take fresh well-cooked vegetables tossed in olive oil. Take berries, nuts, seeds and fruits in correct portions. Take food that is good for the liver, like papayas, prickly pear, grapes, etc.
Do not smoke, do not take alcohol or addictive substances. Do regular walking, exercises under a Physical therapist. If obese maintain healthy weight. After strict diet control (taking boiled food or food tossed in olive oil) and regular walking twice daily for 45-50 days, you are advised to get a repeat Liver function test done. You should also get
lipid profile done.
You will find your liver enzyme much reduced & better results of lipid profile too. Continue to follow healthy lifestyle & healthy eating for 9-12 months, you will become fit very soon. Stay cheerful, take at least 8 hours of quality sleep and avoid strenuous life schedules. Stay relaxed. Help your system recover. Avoid
stress, both physical & emotional. Get a follow up clinical check-up done every 2-3 months.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
