Should I Fear Contracting HIV In Spite Of A Negative Result On Test?
Hello, just a question November last year I was pricked by a needle in a diabetic pack, it was the long syringe looking one, I have had my tests up to the 6 months exposure point, but I am feelin there is still a chance that I could be positive for HIV. Is this a possibility
Detailed explanation, 1.You mentioned that you are pricked by a long needle in the diabetic pack 2. The test for detection of hivantibodies is done after 6 months of possible exposure which shows negative 3. So the result is accurate, don't worry 4. Even if you had doubt in mind then do the confirmative procedure- Western blot test can be done after 6 weeks of possible exposure to hiv
Hope this information helps
