Should I Have Tonsils Removed Due To The Ulcer Causing Earache And Eye Pain?
I have a crater on my left tonsil that looks like an ulcer, left earache and my left eye aches and is watering. Both tonsils have stones in them most of the time. I am 54 and have been told it s not worth removing my tonsils (in the past) as they atrophy as we age. This ulcer is really sore!
Normally there will be a crater like thing in both tonsils-its called crypta magna. If the ulcer is yellowish in color its bleeds on clearing the throat, it needs to be seen an ENT surgeon. Yes, tonsils usually atrophy by the time you become an adult. If they are troublesome, they need to be surgically removed.
