Should I Return For HIV Test After Window Period, Having Had A Negative Result On A Rapid Test?
After a 4weeks exposure i went for a rapid test in the 4th week which came out negative, pls what are my chances that after the three months window period the result will still be negative bcos am really worried. Secondly what are the chances of contracting hiv with a pin prick during an oath with a hiv positive person if the blood is rubbed on each others fingers
Hai, If rapid tests result done in window period [within three months after risky exposure] is negative, definetely it should repeated after three months of risky exposure to get a conclusive report. For your next querry, the chance of getting HIV ,by a pin prick and blood being rubbed with hiv positive person ,though the chance is minimal, we cannot neglect the chance of contracting hiv.
