Should I See A Physician For Large Swollen Bumps On My Tongue?
Hi! I have large swollen bumps on my tongue from the middle back. The farther back bumps are larger. It looks like I have a disease on my tongue. They have been like that for 7 days since I first noticed. It first started with a bad taste in my mouth and somewhat of a sore throat. Should I call my physician for an appointment?
Most probably it will be an enlarged papilla. As of now you can apply triamcinolone mouth paste for symptomatic relief. If lesion persists better to consult a surgeon and get evaluated. If there is diagnostic confusion, a biopsy may be required.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
