Severe Pain In Tongue, Due To Bump Under Tongue And Swollen Lymph Node Under The Right Ear. Cause For Pain?

Hello doc, for the past couple of days, I have been suffering severe pain in my tongue . I noticed that one of the bumps under my tongue....you know the bumps that are lined bilaterally under the tongue......one of them is swollen and painful. I also notice i have a swollen lymph node just under my right ear. What is this about please?

hello and welcome to HCM,

You seem to be having symptoms of an upper respiratory infection and the bumps are papillae and follicles which swell when you have an infection.

Also since you have a nodal swelling it is imperative that you see a doctor right away so that a proper treatment can be started

Most of the time with adequate treatment all these above signs will subside
