Should I Take Rabies Vaccination After A Dog Bite? Experienced Vertigo All Night

Hi, yesterday afternoon i was bitten by my neighbors dog. She's a 2 year old golden retriever who is very sweet, but extremely playful. She only bit me to get my attention and wanted to play! We have only lived in our current house fir three weeks. I'm concerned I could have contracted rabies from this bite. The thing is though its pretty superficial and didn't break the skin! There is only a small bruise where she bit me. I did go over to his house to ask if she was up today's on her rabies shot and he informed me that she was. About an hour after it happened I developed vertigo and that lasted all night and felt better this morning! Today I've just had some tension and a headache. I'm concerned I could have gotten rabies from this. Please help! What is the likelihood of contracting rabies? TIA!

I really appreciate your concern, as long as rabies is concern certain criteria is there, the dog who bites should not be infected with rabies, if it is female dog then chances are more, if the dog died within a week then vaccination is necessary, in your case, the dog is vaccinated and the bite is not deep, then nothing to worry, giddiness could be due to stress, have nice day.
