Hallo sir, MY fathers age is 56 years, he has recently undergone a ultrasound test where its was diagnosed that he is having 2 gallstones 8mm size. He has 4 years ago , undergone an heart surgery . recently he has been complaining about leg pains and also abdominal pain frequently, I would like to know whether gallstones are dangerous and whether he has to undergo surgery?
Hi. Yes the gallstones can turn dangerous due to repeated infections. As your father has undergone heart surgery you have to consult the Cardiologist for fitness for Gall bladder Surgery.
