I have been on 0.88 mg of thyroid for the past year. I recently had a blood test for thyroid that showed my dosage was borderline over what I should be taking. I then was put on 0.75mg of Levoxyl. Now I m having all kinds of symptoms - especially muscular symptoms, headaches, etc. keeping me up half the night. I want to go back to 00.88mg. What do you think?
Levothyroxin is alwys given micro grams.. i.e mcg not in milligrams.it is always started with initial dose for 50mcg for 3weeks later another 20mcg is increased for another 3 weeks , when TSH level reaches normal , maintenance dose is given only then all the symptoms would be resolved
