Should Primolut-n Be Continued Even After Onset Of Periods?
hi doc! I was delayed for 2 months, I went to OB yesterday , I did the pregnancy test but it's negative .. She prescribed promolut-nor for 5 days .. But today I woke up, I have my period .. Should i take the medicine even if my period is started ? Thank you so Much
Hello dear I understand your concern You have delayed period for 2 months. In absence of pregnancy, it could be due to hormonal imbalance, thyroid dysfunction, ovarian dysfunction/PCOS, adenomyosis, endometriosis. All these cause require proper investigations by consulting gynecologist.
But at present as you got your period then no need to take primolut N. But cause should be detected to prevent delayed period in future. Avoid stress, take healthy diet, drink plenty of water, do regular exercise and maintain proper pelvic hygiene. Hope this may help you Best regards Dr. Sagar
