Should Proctozone Cream Be Applied Inside The Rectum For Irritated Hemorrhoids?

hi I have irritated hemorrhoids and I was given a prescribed proctozones-HC 2.5% yesterday and I read the label and dont quite understand what the label says. It says to apply a thin layer to the affected area topically two times a day to four times a day so that means I put the cream INSIDE my rectum or apply the cream outside of rectum area??

Hello there. Proctozone cream can be applied inside the rectum with an applicator which is given along with the tube. Or use a clean finger to apply it internally on irritated area. I hope that answers your question. If you have any other questions please feel free to write.
