Should A Medical Check Be Done For Fatigue And Excessive Daytime Sleepiness?
My husband is 81 . He has been lethargic now for 2 weeks. He is a Korean/VietNam vet with PTSD......and this time of year he goes down hill anyway..........BUT............he is lethargic, sleeping hours at a crack during the day. I just too BP.........it is 126/58............and his oxygen is 94..............should I take him to ER or is this normal? I am not sure because this lack of interest in anything seems to go hand in hand, this time of year with his PTSD......I need some advice

Should A Medical Check Be Done For Fatigue And Excessive Daytime Sleepiness?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice. Fatigue and day time sleepiness may be due to infection or electrolyte imbalance or anemia or stroke or pneumonia etc. Yes, you have to take him to ER for further follow ups. Please consult your doctor in emergency he will examine and treat you accordingly. Take care.
