Should A Physician Be Consulted For Sneezing And Itching In The Eyes?
I had a few days with a lot of sneezing, itchy eyes. Had a flu shot this past October 2017. Now my equilibrium is messed up. I had a severe episode during the night. I can t tilt my head to look up or look down without feeling that I might fall over. Should I wait it out or see a physician? I have never experienced anything like these symptoms before. This all started when Mountain Cedar was extremely High in this area of Texas.
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
The sneezing and itching are likely related to allergies. Allergic sinusitis can affect the ear which can, therefore, have an effect on balance. If you control the symptoms, the balance issues may improve. This can be done with an antihistamine/decongestant combination. The decongestant can be used even if there is no nasal congestion. Example: Benadryl DR, Allegra-D, Claritin-D, Zyrtec-D
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Michelle Gibson James
