Should A Pregnant Partner Avoid Intercourse In View Of Herpes?
Hello,
my partner and I have been together exclusively for a while and I have become pregnant(35wks now!) A long while back we discovered these 'sores' on his member. Since we noticed them after extended periods of sexual activity we thought it was because of friction and lack of lubrication. Have had lesions since being with him but thought it was nicks from shaving. I recently got another more severe than usual and although we are pending the test results im sure we in fact have herpes. Im on valtrex as precautioary from my dr because I am so far along. My partner however now feels we cannot have sex before or a while after the birth of our son. My question is, can we still have sex?, and if so are there precautions we need to take even if I am on valtrex? Thank you

hello madam, wait till you deliver and give more attention towards your health and that of your child. dont make sle diagnosis before any results come. one you are confirmed of the results, do take proper precautions by full medication. there is no restriction for you to have sex, but do take all precautions. one you are cured of the disease you are again a free bird
