Should All Sorts Of Sexual Activity Be Suspended While Being Diagnosed With Mycoplasma Genitalium?
So my girl has mycoplasma genitalium. We obviously aren t going to have vaginal sex, but is oral completely out of the question too? Can she go down on me and I can t go down on her? Can it be spread with just regular kissing? We both want to be 100% sure of what we are able to safely do. Thank you

General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi,
Mycoplasma genitalium is transmitted by kissing, genital or oral sex. It can be transmitted even by touching with genitals. So all these sexual activities must be restrained to avoid transmission of infection.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale, General & Family Physician
