Should An HPV Test Be Done Every Six Months?

If I have HPV 18 and have had the leep test and see my doctor every 6-months for pap to make sure things are ok. I m a 62 year old woman. My question is do I have to get this test every 6-months if there are issues or is there a surgery that would take care of this once & for all?

Hi,

You have undergone loop electrical surgical excision procedure for wart induced by HPV.

Now after removal of abnormal portion regular cervical screening needed at a prescribed interval like 6 monthly.

Kindly attach your biopsy report so that I can comment further.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
