Should An Angiogram Be Done When The Stress Test Report Does Not Indicate Any Problem?
my doctor wants me to get angiogram after I had stress test and stress test did not show any sign of problem but because I am diabetic and 78 years old he thinks I should also take angiogram to be sure there is no blockage in my artery what you think should I take that test or not
If your any cardiac sign is abnormal then only angiogram is advisable. If your EKG, troponin estimation, stress test abnormal then angiogram like investigation carried out. Angiogram is diagnostic test and it can be done only if needed as per my opinion. However if you want to carried out that test then it can be elective decision to exclude blockage.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
