Should Biopsy Be Done For Examining Inflammation And Redness In Vagina?

Hi I am 52 years old, no period for 3 years, I went to my regular doctor today for a pap smear, and when she examined me she said I have infalmattion/redness on the opening . she recommended a biopsy. Should I be concerned? I don t have any symptoms. No abdominal pain, no bleeding, nothing.

HI
Thank for asking to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, if the pep smear is remarkable then you have to take care for the condition, if your doctor found something positive in clinical examination and wanted to rule out the clinical diagnosis then it would be necessary to follow the medical advise given to you, at the most you can have a second opinion, hope this information helps you, have a nice day.
