Should Calcium Be Taken To Prevent Fractures?

My husband has recently undergone Burr hole surgery for removal of subdural hematoma and is prescribed Eptoin 100 three tablets per day. He has been advised to take it for about 3 months. Folvite has been given as a supplement. Should he take calcium also to prevent fractures? He is 66 yrs old.

Hello,

As calcium supplements are needed at his age due to pathological changes in the bone. Also doing simple exercises like a range of motion exercises, strengthening exercises, weight-bearing exercises etc to help improve the joint stability, improve muscle property and improve bone strength.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
