Should Circulation Socks For Swollen Feet Be Snug Fit?
A nurse practitioner today recommended that my wife wear diabetic/circulation socks to aid her (she had swollen feet this weekend). My wife is very frail from her battle with brain cancer, but is still functional. I bought some socks (Dr. Scholl s and another company, but she says none are tight. Are they supposed to be tight?
Hello and welcome I appreciate your concern Looking at history your wife must be having deep vein thrombosis and her doctor has given her the compression stocking to prevent the blood clot.
it should be tight at the foot and gradually loosen over the leg ( gradual compression)
Once it has put on please don't remove on your own without consulting your doctor
Hope this answers your question Best wishes
