Should Contraception Be Used If Previous Conception Was With Help Of Medication?

I had a baby in Jan. Before conception, I had taken medicines as my follicles were not bursting. Is this a permanent condition? Do I need to use protection now? According to my understanding, unless I take medicines, I cannot get pregnant. Am I right?
