Should Hysterectomy Be Done If Pap Test Is Abnormal?
I am a 19 year old mother of 3. My mother passed away 2 months ago from Cervical Cancer (no pap for 15+ years). 12 months ago i got ASCUS results on a pap test. Re-tested in June and ASCUS again but also Positive for High Risk HPV types 16 & 18. I had a repeat pap done 12/14 and am awaiting results. I have a blood clotting disorder and take coumadin daily, also have high blood pressure and am a smoker. I am scheduled for a endometrial ablation due to menorrahgia (D&C and Hysterscopy in August didn't work) on 12/27. My Gynecologist said I had two options, the ablation or a hysterectomy...I don't know what to do?
