Should I Be Concerned About Bruise On Cheek Near Eye Of Child?

wow... did not realize I can write a question and someone would answer....... My 5 yr old daughter was on a playdate and someone hit her on the face.. with a water gun, high on the cheek near eye... and there is a bruise... I put ice on it and gave her motrin.... should i be concerned for anything else?

Hi,
Thank you for asking question on health care magic.
Wounds on the face generally heal quickly because of rich blood supply.
Usually it heals within 7 days.
Nothing to be concerned about it.
If she has not already taken DPT booster dose better give it now.
Antibiotic may not be necessary unless it is secondarily infected.
Only keep the wound clean.
