Should I Be Concerned About Coughing Up Fluid Of My Son?

my 20 month old son coughed up a half by one and a half inch stringing material last night.. it was pink in color but looks like that was probably from juice I'm not sure. he just got over the flu a couple weeks ago and has a new cold symptom of only a yellow mucus runny nose. he has no fever or cough at this time. his breathing sounds normal. was this plemm or maybe food? this only happened once and he's been acting just fine.

Greetings of the day,

Isolated episode is better left alone, especially in absence of other symptoms.
There seems to be no cause for concern.

Take Care
