Should I Be Concerned About Sore Throat After Having Oral Sex?

Any help on this would be awesome thanks in advance. So this past Tues I made out with a guy and he gave me oral (for a few min or so). Thats all we did. The next day my throat was kinda sore. It is now Friday and it still hasn t gone away. Doesn t really hurt to swallow. Its more like a mild constant burning in the back of the throat. (Almost feels like its my tonsils, not sure but concentrated under jaw near the neck). My tongue is a bit white and my throat doesn t have any white spots that I can see. Maybe 2 red dots on the right side of my mouth near the back. I just wanted to know if these are earlier signs of mono. I am really nervous because I don t want it to be mono. I hear it takes 4-6 weeks after exposure to show symptoms. So this leads me to believe it probably isn t. Sore throat is the only symptom I have. I have also noticed my appetite comes and goes but I think its me just being extremely nervous etc. I have no fever, no fatigue, no rashes or headaches. Its just a sore throat (mild-moderate). At times it will be okay (almost normal) and then later on in the day I can feel it more. Tonight it has gotten a little worse but it fluctuates After how many days should i be worried if this sore throat doesn t go away. I ve been drinking lots of water, tea, cold ezze and halls to moisten the throat. In addition I have been getting plenty of rest. And it all does help but I feel it has gotten any worse or better either. Again any help in this matter would be awesome. As long as its not mono I ll be okay with it.

ENT Specialist 's  Response
My dear, it seems that you have got viral or fungal infection which was transmitted from your boyfriend and has resulted throat infection. I suggest taking the antifungal lotions and gargles to control the same.
