Should I Be Concerned About Spotting After Having Menopause?

In July I had an endrometrial brush cytology which came back as benign inactive endometrial epithelium. At that time I was having spotting, I am menopausal for 10 plus years. This was first problem. I had some spotting for two months and then none until around end of December. Had one episode then and one since, all are very light bleeding but accompanied by cramping for around 2 hours. Had a pap smear in November which was also negative. Should I be concerned? What are possible next steps

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Minor bleeding and spotting are quite common towards menopause. However, it will be better to go for an ultrasound scan and a Pap smear to rule out conditions like cervical or uterine cancer.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
