Should I Be Concerned As I Am Having A Dent In My Skull Which Is Sensitive To Touch?
Hi there, I am a 60 year old female in generally good health and not over weight. Recently I have noticed a dent in my skull in the central area which is sensitive to the touch, and a raised area to the rear of the central dent. I also have a noise in my right ear, but not all the time. I am very concerned because I have two blood sisters one of whom has had burst aneurysms in the brain and the other sister has an arachnoid cyst in the brain. I have been tested negatively for Padgets disease and am awaiting an appointment with the neurologist. Any suggestions would be very gratefully received. Kind regards.
You are doing right in awaiting an appointment with you neurologist. It is important to do a scan of your brain and look for any structural abnormalities which can be causing your problems. A dent most likely points to a skull related condition and sensitivity can be related to any acute inflammation.
