Should I Be Concerned As My Daughter Is Having An Impulse That She Cannot Control?
Hi im Dan and my question is my 8 year daughter has an impulse that she cant control she sits or stands by somebody or something she has to smack it repeatedly but not hard she cannot seem to control it tried to talk with her family physi and he didnt seem to interested we r concerned this is a real problem it been going on for along time please help!!!
Hello Mr Dan, I think whatever you are describing is a matter of concern to any parents. Such behavior can be a part of many disorders- Generalized Anxiety Disorders, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder,Attention deficit Hyperactivity Disorder , Bipolar Disorder or may even be a normal variant which may go away as she gets older. one has to observe, analyse and discuss her behavior in detail before we know what it is.
