Should I Be Concerned As My Daughter Is Having Vomiting, Dizziness And Cannot Straighten Her Legs?
My almost 6-year old was vomiting through the night last night. She last vomited at 8am this morning, but says she is dizzy. Her right leg won't straighten properly and she is walking funny. Last night at gymnastics was the first time I noticed that her leg/walking was a bit off. Normally I would not be worried, but her first cousin just died of a brain tumour/brain cancer and exhibited these exact symptoms before he got sick.
hi a few questions. was her vomiting projectile or not? that is if the vomit projects a certain distance in the air and then falls down. does she have headache before while or after vomiting or not? if yes is the answer to these, i would advice a neurology or ophthalmology consultation. if no is the answer, no need to be worried. after vomiting, there is a loss of elcrolytes which will cause crampy legs and pain while walking. just make sure she takes plenty of electrolytes through varity of fruit juices with a pinch of salt in them. she should be fine. hope this helps
