Should I Be Concerned Of Having Chest Pain, Shortness Of Breath, Tingling In Arm And Feeling Dizzy?
Ive been getting chest pains that will just come on at anytime the other day my left arm went all tingly and cold which lasted for about 10 mins while having slight pains in chest other times I get a weird feeling in my neck.im going to have a heart scan in the middle of January cos ive also been getting pulpitations, shortness of breath and feeling dizzy when im running as im training for a marathon. Could it be something serious or am I worrying about nothing?
I appreciate your concern. I need to know your age, gender, whether you have diabetes, high blood sugar, high cholesterol, any family history of heart disease( premature coronary artery disease), smoking habits etc. All these risk factors increases the chance of ischaemic heart disease. I would recommend you to do an ECG and consult a physician. if it is normal, A Tread mill test will identify your problem. An echocardiography can assess your heart function. If all these are normal, or there is no risk factors, i think there is not much to worry. In that case all you need is some antacids and anti anxiety medicines.
