Should I Be Worried About The Itchy Mole And Shiny Lump Present On My Husband's Back?

This mole seemed to just appear, can't remember seeing this on my husbands back, it's about the size of a penny, and the shiny lump is about an inch below it. Hubby said it's not dark, so it's ok and said he doesn't need to go to doc. I said I would go on here and check it out. He says it is itchy. Please help, so that I can show him what people think and maybe he will go. I am worried, the last time he was at the doctors was 25 years ago, and that was a medical for his job. He thinks there is nothing wrong. Thank you

Hi

See your husband is developing certain changes in a skin mole.
This is certainly not a thing to be ignored.
If there is any sudden change in the size of a skin mole or in its color or its shape or he there is any altered sensation like sudden onset of itching, bleeding or pain, then all these signs suggest that you should get an assessment done by a dermatologist.
Sometimes even a skin biopsy is required.
But do not worry, it can even be a mile eczematous skin reaction.

Hope it helps

Hi,
Any mole of size greater than pencil tip should always be looked with caution. A feeling of itch pain or any unusual symptom should always be taken care of.

Any recent change in size, shape, color or borers along with unusual feeling in mole indicates internal changes in mole and hence should always get it removed.

I suggest you to get the mole excised at the earliest and further histopathology is must in this case. The excision is a very simple 5 minutes procedure. Once excised it will reileve and take care of all your tensions.

Best wishes.
