Hi , I am 28 and I was installing a fence today and it was in the 90 s so I was very hot and so I had a 20 oz bottle of water in the cooler , so I grabed it out and chugged it and about 20 seconds later my heart started beating really really fasts d it lasted for a couple of minutes then it calmed down. Is this something I should worry about?
Hello, I understand your worries. You had an episode of palpitation. It is a common problem I diagnose among young patients regularly. They are not harmful, and the cause is not known. But a couple of factors trigger them eg; - Stress (In your case) - Caffeine and smoking - Pregnancy - sleep deprivation etc. Some of the ways to help with your palpitations are by avoiding stimulant like caffeine/smoking, sleeping 6-7 hours in a day, exercising at least 3 times a week and eating healthily. You should be fine with these changes. Best regards
